We had a great meeting in Rotterdam this month where I presented 2 posters together with a resident of ours, dr. Estel·la Rojas.
The first poster was on the Sutureless Ptosis Repair, a topic on which I also talked in this year´s Spanish (SECOP) meeting in Murcia last June. We show here it´s advantages: equal effect on eyelid height as the traditional technique, faster procedure, no risk of cornea abrasions because of suture placement and it´s possible disadvantages of contour irregularity and the development of a transitory pyogenic granuloma in one patient in our series.
I started implementing this way of ptosis repair after visiting prof. Hartstein in Tel Aviv who described this for the first time and it is now an invaluable tool in my aesthetic practice

The other poster we presented was on a case of Isolated Orbital Neurofibroma in the Absence of Neurofibromatosis. This is a rare finding, and in this instance, the lesion occupied the entire superior orbit.
